Apocalyptic Rain
by Domain Mistress on Oct.14, 2009, under Burning Man
Not deterred by driving rain, hurricane speed winds, hydroplaning vehicles, Jeanne, Kira, Karen and Domain trekked north to the City to see “How to Survive the Apocalypse” “… a Burning Man-inspired theatrical freak-out that combines rock opera, vaudeville, and a Dionysian revival show…” (Laughing Squid has more on the inspiration of this event.) Transformation
We strolled in our finery from Kira’s cousin’s loft apartment at Broadway and Front over to Teatro Zanzinni. As the lyrics go, “there are no spectactors.” Many of us were reflecting “our inside on the outside.” And there was even a dance break during the intermission. The performance floor was packed with dancing audience when the 2nd Act commenced.
Since we couldn’t take photos during the show, it is fun to see character photos at theBurning Man Blog
