...Misty, the Mistadon escorting the Casbahr on the Playa at sunset.
The Germ
The Germ is the UDS' runabout. It is built over a wheelchair electric motor. It does daytime duty to transport ice to camp.
At night, The Germ is our pilot fish, guiding our bikes and the Casbarh as we travel across the Playa.
Casbahr
The Casbahr, pulled by Misty, the Mistadon was originally designed to be a temple to the Mojito, a place in the desert to rest
in the shade beneath a canopy, on silk pillows, with silk curtains billowing in the soft desert breeze, with a minty mojito to sip, but a mobile place too so that you
could take it anywhere to watch people, art installations, bring sustenance to parched stragglers out on the playa, tour dance halls and events at night.
At night it lights up spectacularly, to add to the festivity, yet on the inside, it also has soft shoji lanterns and candle light to provide a chill space atmosphere.
Misty provided welcome relief to dusty travellers on the Playa. Her fuzzy purply blue trunk showered burners with cooling jets of water.
